I am so thankful for those who've enjoyed Zoom classes, and outdoors-in-the-backyard classes.  It's been a delight!  I am also THANKFUL for tools and knowledge that can help us meet together safely. (For more information on Covid* protocols, please see below.)

*Covid plan:

Having just experienced a Covid infection, sickness, and still recovering from fatigue, I very much wish to minimize risk of spreading it around. 

-Our space will have room to spread out as desired. 

-Masks are optional. If there are sniffles, or lingering cough after an illness, please respect others and do mask up.  For any other symptoms, or if you feel a mask won't work well with your child, please stay home and know that you may attend a make up when well.   

-Hand sanitizer will be offered on the way in and out of class, and instruments will be washed regularly.

We will be following Quarantine Guidelines Posted by Spokane Public Schools.  Updated August 5, 2022:

Stay home if symptomatic:

-Testing is strongly recommended.

-If you choose not to test, you must isolate for 5 days after symptoms appeared, and can return on day 6 if symptoms have significantly improved and it has been at least 24 hours without a fever (without fever-reducing medication).

-If you have symptoms and you test negative, you may return to school if symptoms have significantly improved and it has been at least 24 hours without a fever (without fever-reducing medication).

If you test positive:

-You must isolate for 5 days after symptoms appeared and can return on day 6 if symptoms have significantly improved and it has been at least 24 hours without a fever (without fever-reducing medication).

-If you test positive again at the end of your 5-day isolation (days 6-10), you must complete the full 10-day isolation period (testing not required).

-Masking is strongly recommended for days 6-10 if you have not repeated testing and have symptom improvement.

If exposed to a positive case AND asymptomatic, you may continue to attend work/school.

-Consider wearing a well-fitting mask for 10 days after exposure

-Consider getting tested 3-5 days after exposure

-Monitor for symptoms for 10 days.

-If symptomatic, stay home and follow appropriate guidelines for symptoms.

-If there is an outbreak involving our Kindermusik classes, Kindermusik families will be notified.

Health & Safety Protocols

What if my student exhibits COVID-19 symptoms?

-If your student has symptoms but tests negative, they can return to school after symptoms resolve and without a fever for 24 hours.

-If the student experiences any of the following COVID symptoms at school, they will be sent home and isolated 5 days unless cleared by a negative test or a doctor’s note with an alternative diagnosis. 

Cough (not related to a chronic health condition)

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Fever of 100.4°F or higher or a sense of having a fever

Sore throat

Chills

New loss of taste or smell

Muscle or body aches

Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea

Congestion/runny nose – not related to seasonal allergies

Unusual fatigue

Headache
